Sunday afternoons are meant for adventure, right? I took a stroll through the west side of town and had a little peek into Kiehl's and came out with some goodies to treat my currently not-so-happy skin. I have an oily T-zone but also suffer from eczema, so the gal recommended I try to Ultra Facial Cream as a daily moisturizer. She said it's light enough to keep the oiliness to a minimum but help heal those dry patches. I also picked up the Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion with Amazonian White Clay to help keep the oils at bay throughout the day. I sampled it on the back of my hand and was blown away by how smooth and matte it felt, so hopefully it will come in handy as the weather gets warmer and makeup becomes more prone to melting off (yuck!). I also received some extra samples of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate (I was so close to buying a whole size, but one sample lasts about a week and I've got 3 in my stash now so I think I'm covered for a little while more... hehe) and she gave me the Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream to try as a lighter option moisturizer so I'm well-stocked up for my future skincare needs. It's my first Kiehl's purchase ever so I'm really excited to see what long-term benefits these products will have. Do you have any holy grail skincare items?

I'm always stocking up on samples to avoid buying the full size, lol. I used to go in Sephora every other day and get a sample of my perfume, because the bottle was $100 and I just didn't want to pay that much lol. It got to the point where they lady would see me walk in, and she'd automatically make me two samples haha.
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten many samples of skincare. Although whenever I get a pimple or mark of some sort I'll go get a sample of LUSH's spot remover. It's $13 for the full-size, but they give the sample in a huge jar so I never pay for it lol.

I've had a mini of the kiehls ultra facial cream and it was ok but my skin is quite sensitive and it doesn't seem to get along with kiehls products x

ReplyDeletethanks! it was a bullet i had to bite (more strain on the wallet than the conscience i guess... haha) but i'm really excited to start investing in skincare!
ReplyDeleteLOL THAT'S BRILLIANT!! If I lived closer to a Sephora I'd totally do that! Good to know about the LUSH Spot Remover too, I've gotten a sample of their dry shampoo before and it lasted absolute ages!
