First Ever Empties!

I am baffled by how some people can constantly stock up on empty products to share. It seriously takes me forever and a day to finish up one product. Oh the effort required to finish up enough to constitute a solid empties post! That being said, this is my first empties haul ever. I'm proud of myself for really using up my stash of products before buying new ones, but also... do people even want to see old products? I figure, though, that once you use up a product you really know if you love it or hate it in the end. So here's my two cents in case you were curious about anything I've tried - let's go!

Pantene Aqua Light Clean Rinse Shampoo. Having suffered with dandruff due to eczema and oiliness from trying to combat the dry, my scalp is never very happy. After using heavier shampoos I realized that what I really needed was a good cleanse, and this one works perfectly. It's lightweight but still lathers up really well and refreshes my scalp so it feels clean, breathable, and un-irritated. It's been a shower staple for 2-3 years now!

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter. A cult favorite in one of my favorite scents, the body butter was nice but I was not SO impressed that I need to go buy a ton of these again ASAP. I liked the fresh tang of grapefruit and softness of the product but my desert-dry legs need a little more oomph.

Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Pore Refining Scrub. Honestly I didn't see any outstanding results from this product. I'm like the Goldilocks of facial scrubs - I was looking for something to replace my St. Ive's scrub because it felt slightly too abrasive but found this one to be a little too gentle for my liking. The perfect scrub search continues!

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer 002. This promises to smooth, resurface, brighten, matte, and protect. Did I see such results? Not particularly. Did it help my makeup stay on longer? Meh. Spend your money elsewhere.

Neutrogena Oil Free Makeup Remover. At first I didn't see what was so great about this product, but after a few lazy nights of insufficient makeup removal I now realize how essential this product actually is. I just hate how I have to buy cotton pads with it too... Sigh, #lazygirlproblems.

Isoflavone (Isofurabon) Cream Moisturizer. This cream hit it big in Japan a few years ago, but it's a bit too thick and sticky for my liking. It injects moisture well, but doesn't completely sink overnight. If you're looking for something to help your skin survive the winter I'd recommend giving it a try, but it's not one for the oily folks.

Body Time Firming Renewal Cream. I bought this moisturizer when I had the worst facial eczema ever hoping that the organic formula would better combat my chronically dry skin. It was a good attempt to stray away from chemicals, but unfortunately this cream didn't do much. Overall a mediocre product, especially for the price.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume. Two words: HOLY GRAIL. This is my favorite mascara of all time because it lengthens, volumizes, separates, and does not budge. It's perfect for rainy days and the sweltering summer heat, late nights and early mornings pick-me-ups. People asking me if my eyelashes are just naturally gorgeous or if I'm wearing falsies all the time, but it's seriously this magic in a bright orange tube. Heart emojis everywhere.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer. This is probably the third tube of this stuff I've gone through, and I cannot get enough. Great coverage, lightweight formula, and instant results? Check, check, and check! I'm currently using the Brightening one and am loving that too. A must for night owls and college kids.

  1. I also love this Maybelline concealer, I would always purchase again (:

  2. Oooh that Asian cream caught my eye... I have super dry skin at times so it might work for me! Any idea where to buy it, online maybe?

  3. I need to try the Lash Blast mascara. It sound really good. Thanks for the heads up on the Rimmel primer. I've been meaning to check it out but now I will just stick with the Maybelline Master Prime. It's a pretty good primer if you have dry skin.

  4. Ooh maybe I'll try the Maybelline primer, I haven't really heard much about it! But yes yes yes, definitely get lash blast volume, my eyelashes don't feel right without it!

  5. It's actually a face cream/moisturizer, but I think they sell it on eBay, like this listing:

  6. omg you must!! it's seriously a life-changer :P

  7. i feel like i'm super devoted to it and cant imagine trying anything else!

  8. I love empties posts/videos, it's a great way to see what people actually think of the products! x

  9. Ooh I'm using the Body Shop Passionfruit body butter - smells really good too! I've yet to find a good mascara though, because my lashes are lame :p

    Cherie x

  10. I completely agree with you, how do people get through products so fast?! I really need to try out the Maybelline concealer though, all i hear is good things :) x

  11. I feel like I use products as often as they're intended to be used but other people are like super-users :P Yes yes yes go get the concealer asap!!

  12. I didn't know they did Passionfruit! That sounds super delicious smelling (:

  13. I'm still on the fence but I do think it's nice to hear if someone really loved a product after using it for so long!
