Tag I'm It: Liebster Award

It's been a minute since I've done one of these, and I'd started to lose hope that anyone was reading my little blog since I haven't been able to keep up as much as last summer... but the lovely Mathilda from Mathilda's Beauty and Life has nominated me for the Liebster award, and I'm excited to take part! It's been about a year since I last answered these sorts of questions so maybe my answers have changed in the past few months?

11 Facts About Me

1. I've lived in Japan, the United States, and most recently, Italy! (I'm a native speaker of Japanese and English, e parlo un po' d'italiano.)
2. I love the smell of nail polish. Like, a lot.
3. My most exciting recent purchase is a knockoff magic bullet (a $20 Bella blender), and I now feel old because I'm over the moon about acquiring new kitchen items.
4. I spent the beginning of this summer backpacking across Europe with my best friend and absolutely LOVED every country I visited (shout out to Italy, Greece, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, and England -- is anyone reading this from any of these countries!?).
5. I have mild eczema and it sucks, but hydrocortizone cream and coconut oil have been great remedies.
6. I have about ten months to figure out the rest of my life. Okay, that's a bit dramatic, but in ten months (if all goes as planned -- knock on wood) I will graduate from university! Ahhh!!
7. I would absolutely love to work for a creative agency and help with product and brand design as well as PR.
8. I'm a fontaholic and download too many fonts for my own good. I also go around and identify fonts I see around town on signs and posters, and my friends think I'm cuckoo bananas.
9. Living in Rome taught me that it is completely normal to drink wine with pizza.
10. My iPhone screen is completely smashed but I'm too cheap to go get it fixed.
11. I want to marry Jimmy Fallon.

1. What's your favourite makeup brand?
   Drugstore is probably NYX, and high-end is NARS.
2. What was you first makeup product?
   Oh my god, Lip Smacker lip glosses. Yes. 
3. Describe yourself in one world
   Creative.
4. If you were the main character in a movie, which actress would you want to play your role?
   Alexa Chung (even though she's not technically an actress, the mixed race thing plays well.)
5. What's your favourite makeup product?
   Mascara!
6. What single quality do you appreciate most in people?
   Lightheartedness and ability to keep up with my sass and friendly banter
7. Are you a planner? Or are you spontaneous?
   I'm definitely a planner.
8. What makes you smile?
   When a sneeze that's been brewing finally comes out. *ACHOO* :)
9. Best book you've read recently?
   Gone Girl. I'm also a quarter way through Dan Brown's Inferno, and I am really enjoying it.
10. What is your favourite store to shop in?
    Zara
11. Favourite movie?
    Exit Through the Gift Shop
