Essie Tart Deco

In the midst of all of these autumn-y posts with boots and coats and whatnot nothing screams "summer" quite like a bright coral manicure, and I've fallen completely in love with Essie Tart Deco this year! It's a fairly new addition to my (problematic) stash of nail polish, though I don't know why I never picked it up because this is right up my ally. Essie is my all-time favorite nail polish brand because they offer, in my opinion, the best selection of colors and have the easiest formula to apply. I also really like the brush because it packs on just enough polish to lacquer up each nail, unlike some OPI brushes that are too big and give me goopy fingertips - yuck! Anywho, back to Tart Deco, the formula is creamy and smooth, going on opaque in one coat but I always give my manicure at least 2. It's not streaky in the slightest and the milky pastel(-y) neon(-y) color is great for complimenting that summer tan (that I have yet to achieve... Sad face!!). It's a bit brighter on the nails than I expected because like a lot of other Essie colors it ends up drying slightly darker than seen in the bottle, but it's barely noticeable, really, unless you've got a fine eye for color coordination. I've been reaching for Tart Deco the most out of all of my other bottles this summer to repaint my fingers and toes, so I'd say it's definitely high on my list of no-brainer holy grail polishes! Still kicking myself for not having tried it earlier, but the satisfaction was well worth the wait.
