Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I'm actually so glad this week is finally over, I felt like I was hit with an unproductive spell and now I can laze around this weekend with no remorse (and hopefully recharge for next week when I will have to pick up the slack). Amidst my procrastinating in the office and refusal to get out of bed I did stumble across some fun things that cheered me up despite a sickly evening last night and a low-key end to the week.

First off, my number one favorite this week -- I am completely and utterly obsessed with Wesley. Who is Wesley, you ask? He is Jimmy Kimmel's 3 year old nephew who stars in the 5-episode mini series The Baby Bachelor. It's a hilarious parody of The Bachelor and Bachelorette series where Wesley is on a quest for love. All of the contestants are adorable (Franki is my favorite!!) and Wesley has got some sly lines up his sleeve. I must say, they always know how to choose the audience displeaser, but I will keep my opinions to myself and not ruin the results for y'all because you seriously have to go watch this! Also, there's a shocker ending to this all here...

Moving on from uncontrollable aww-ing from the adorableness that is The Baby Bachelor, I've also been quite hooked on Friends. I had never seen an episode of this iconic sitcom until this summer when my friend recommended (slash challenged) me to watch it. Having nothing better to do with my life I'm now halfway through season 9 and I'm determined to finish all 10 seasons before school starts at the end of the month! I am so invested in this show now I get upset at all the characters when they do stupid things but love them to death (I've even cried at a few episodes) and it's literally all I watch so my roommates think I've gone nuts. I want a Chandler and a Joey in my life!!

Last but not least, I'm sure most people reading this (hurrah if you've made it through the incessant rambling) are here to hear my two cents on beauty products that have stood out this week. This week was a week of rediscovery, as I pulled out my e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral to play around with eyeshadow. It's pretty good quality for the price (on sale now for only $6!!) and I love the two matte brown shades as well as the golden shimmery one and slightly warmer brown luster. I also pulled out my Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy that's been hiding in the back of my stash for a while and am so happy I did because I forgot how nicely this applies. I don't like how pink it is when I first put it on, but once it sets in a little it leaves my lips looking so plump and dewy, I can't believe I've neglected it for so long! Now, I guess this last one can't really be a favorite because I haven't actually tried it yet, but yesterday I went out and bought the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. I recently noticed that my under eye circles are getting ridiculously out of hand and my Revlon Colorstay Concealer is just not doing the trick. I've heard so many good things about this Concealer (enablers being MeghanRosette, here and here, and EleventhGorgeous, here and here) and the applicator looks so effective in spreading the product across my entire under eye area that I was sold in desperation! I hope it really works in erasing these stupid bags and I will look awake and un-zombified (a necessity after the fail that was this week).

I hope the next couple of days will revive me from my funk and my motivation will return, because I am seriously just a slob in her pjs without it! Hope you have a happy weekend, TGIF (:
