I've gone a bit gloss crazy these past few weeks and the BOGO 50% Off Revlon sale at CVS only fed my addiction. I don't think these are particularly new products, but I was super intrigued by these Ultra HD Lip Lacquers and had to give them a whirl. The packaging feels so high-end with the sleek square tubes and the little gem atop the lid that glams up the gloss. The applicator is a brush instead of a doe-foot, though I do think I personally prefer the latter. Formula-wise these Lip Lacquers are creamy, a bit on the thicker side, and slightly tacky but I think that's what helps packs the punch. They smooth out really well on the lips and settle into a gel-like consistency that I really enjoy (especially because I have super dry lips).
The two shades I picked up are Petalite, a gorgeous peachy petal pink with gold microshimmer, and Garnet, a deep creamy magenta. I couldn't resist Petalite because I think it'll be the perfect light spring and summer color to wear wear with a bronzey simple look and my rose gold sunnies. The real winner, though, is definitely Garnet. Oh my bejeezus, I cannot tell you how impressed I am with this one! It's super opaque and shiny without any unneeded shimmer and gives my lips an incredible flawless finish. Think Rimmel Apocalips combined with the most supple jelly gloss. I seriously stared at my lips in the mirror for like 10 minutes after taking these photos because it is just so. darn. pretty. I cannot wait to wear this on a night out or even for a day about town. Have I convinced you that you need this in your life yet? Because you definitely do.
