I didn't even realize today is the last day of March... That's the kind of month it's been. Seriously, I haven't even had time to accumulate new favorites! March was filled with lots of late nights and deadlines which resulted in very few real-clothes-wearing, makeup-sporting days but I thought I'd include some random favorites this month to make up for the lack of beauty goodies!
NYX Butter Gloss (Crème Brulee). This stuff has been in my handbag all month, I just can't get enough. It's the perfect nude gloss that glides over the lips to help moisturize and give shine without adding color to detract from the rest of the look. I know I have more than enough lip products but these are just so good, next on my list is Eclair.
Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil (Hot Scorch). I was inspired by a photo I came across on Tumblr of a woman wearing a sparkly light brown liner all around her eye (not in the waterline, but really around) and winged out at the edges. I thought it was so pretty I picked this up when I stopped by Ulta. I didn't have high hopes because it was only like $2.49 or something ridiculous, but this liner lasted all day! I like the glittery sparkle because that's the look I was going for, and it's really smooth and creamy. Now I just gotta perfect that wing.
No7 Beautiful Skin Rich Hydrating Eye Cream. I didn't have high hopes for this when I first came across it in Target but decided to give it a try as I had heard pretty good things about No7 skincare. This stuff has considerably smoothed out my under eye area and leaves it supple and immensely hydrated (a huge compliment from a girl who suffers with the worst under eye peeling)! My only gripe is that the pointed lid is hard to screw off when my hands are a little slippy from having applied moisturizer, but otherwise this is one heck of a dark horse.
Sammi from The Beauty Crush. Her blog, beauty videos, and vlogs have been my go-tos for entertainment recently! I love her grungy, simple style and spunky attitude. She is so down to earth and I am so excited for her and Jason (her boyfriend)'s new brand Novem & Knight. I'm also totally going to recreate her natural smoky eye one of these days.
Kate from gh0stparties (and her sense in home decor). My latest obsession is looking up inspiration for and planning how to decorate my post-grad apartment (probably because I just scored some awesome antique furniture from my aunt that I cannot wait to mix with modern pieces). I've been following Kate's journey into her new flat and it's absolutely everything that I want my apartment to be - her blog, Instagram and Pinterest are perfection (home decor, beauty, and everything else!) and I squealed over everything in her recent room tour video.
